October 2009 - Chrysalis Publications, LLC, the publishing company I owned at the time, published the paperback edition of Flying Wires; a popular novel about the sport of ultralight flying and finding love the second time around. Men and women from various backgrounds and interests have enjoyed the paperback and Kindle editions of this aviation adventure with a love story at its heart. Read part of a chapter online at the link below.
December 2008 - Flying Wires released in digital format. The first novel set among the Dacron wings of ultralight aircraft, this love story will lift your spirits and carry you away! It's a thrilling story about the love of flying these small aircraft, the love of good friends and the love that ignites passion.
Throughout the story, engaging dialog brings the
characters to life. Through E-mail messages and eavesdropping on
conversations at the airfield, the reader watches the years pass and
the relationships change. There is humor as the characters tease or
taunt each other. There is frustration and fear, as the students
struggle with their flight training. There is enthusiasm and joy - on the ground and in the air. There is loss and sorrow when tragedy strikes.
"This is a real page turner!" Arty Trost Ultralight Adventurer

I became interested in ultralights while at AirVenture in Oshkosh in July 2000. I soloed in an ultralight trainer at Shoestring Airport near Shrewsbury, PA, in June 2002. Since 2001, I have written several aviation articles for Light Sport and Ultralight Flying and Ultraflight magazines. In Spring 2009, I began writing the Laurel Volunteerism Examiner column for Examiner.com [See Bibliography.] Flying Wires is my first novel. I live in Laurel, MD with my husband.
